Our Purposes
The purposes of the Society are:
- to advance religion by teaching, practicing and promoting the religious tenets, doctrines, and observances associated with Buddhism;
- to relieve poverty of persons in need or of low income by providing food and basic necessities of life;
- to receive, acquire, hold, maintain, invest, administer, distribute, and operate all types of property, directly or indirectly, through any form of ownership or to dispose of such property to other registered charitable organizations that are registered charities under the Income Tax Act in furtherance of the purposes of the Society stated in (a) and (b) above; and
- to do all such things as are incidental and ancillary to the attainment of the charitable purposes of the Society.
